Factory vs. Custom - Which is better for you?
Our custom rod building services will enhance your sportfishing. As opposed to production-factory built rods, anglers using custom rods enjoy a much more highly tuned combination of alignment, bend, component matching, and personal fit. We have tailor made many many rods for anglers from all over the globe since 1982.
All our rods are built on the premises by our in house professional rod builder in our rod building department, where you can watch your rod being built.
All Glenn's Tackles rods are triple wrapped and on spline. You can choose from over 100 different colours of thread, including metallic thread. We use durable Gudebrod thread, concrete -like Classic Coat vertical reel epoxy for gimbals, reel seats, and uni-butts. All rods are finished with three coats of Flex Coat to help prevent cracking.
Our specialty is the stand-up tuna stick. We can take a rod blank and chop off as much as you like until the rod has that custom feel.
